The Rabbit Hole - 20th Edition

I’m so back. Apologies for the inconsistency with this thing. One could say life has been happening! Let’s chat.

I don't really remember what’s been going on the weeks that I haven’t posted but I can talk about the past week, as it was a joy. A week ago, my parents stopped by the 419 for some midweek MACtion. It was Toledo vs. Central so a bit of a family affair. UT dominated, which was great to watch.

My parents did the classic split jersey thing, like how parents would do with their sons in the NFL. This was a bit to a lesser extent, but it made me feel special. A beautiful chilly evening for some MACtion. Rockets win. What a night.

We followed that up with Mom’s weekend this past Sat/Sun. Apparently, UT has this event every year, but it pretty much is just a sting of events that students go to with their beloved mothers. Mary worked Friday so she could only come down for 2 days, but oh did we make them count.

Kicked the morning off at the Toledo Farmers Market

AWWWEEEE

Next the Holiday Parade! (Did you know The Rizzler’s real name is Christian?)

Had a Mother's Luncheon

Flower Pot Painting

I bowled the best game of my life (disregard Mary’s score it’s fraudulent)

Capped off the night with a movie night (we watched GOTG) It was GOOD!))

On Sunday it was just a relaxed day, we made my grandma this cake for her Birthday (it was butter pecan!)

Also watched the Lions win in record fashion that was fun.

Weight Loss Update:

10/31: 253.6

11/8: 250.2

11/15: 248.8

Down a few lbs so far, feeling good. I seem to have gotten into a healthy routine. I’m pretty worried about going back home for Thanksgiving/Christmas break because of the lack of control of what’s in my household. I’ve been solid at refraining from binge eating. Shoutout Sam for getting me going and Guntaaz for keeping me accountable on the daily. Excited to continue seeing results.

Creative Corner: I had a killer TCS this week, really excited now that Award Season is fully underway.

I just wrapped filming on the FINAL episode of Trivia Tails Season 1. Episode drops Friday, and I had the two participants sign NDA’s so no spoilers will get out before the ep drops. Directly after we wrapped filming, I started firing off messages for new season 2 participants. If you’d like to nominate people for season 2, let me know. I’m looking to have around 20 participants for S2, which I feel is pretty doable given the intrigue I’ve already had from people. I’m thinking I’ll do a bit of a break and pick things back up after Thanksgiving. Possibly even doing some in-person matches during Winter break?? We’ll see.

It’s crazy that the Turkey Bowl is in just over a week. Submissions seem low, but once we get the bump from the girls that should boost our numbies. I was just looking back on our Turkey Bowl History doc, which I’m so glad we started. It’s great to document this historic event. Crazy that it’s likely coming to an end after this year (for the time being).

Content I’ve Consumed this Week Cave: AFTV sketches have been on fire of late. I watched a lot of new movies recently.

Here’s what my diary is looking like in the past week.

The Red One/Heretic double feature was a blast. I rewatched Moana in preparation for the sequel in a couple of weeks. This weekend is a Barbenheimer-level double release in Gladiator II and Wicked. For those seeing Wicked this weekend, I’d like to remind you that this is a PART ONE film. Don’t go into expecting a full adaptation of the book/musical. Part Two will be released in about a year.

I’m a massive Paul Mescal fan and I’ve been hearing Denzel’s Gladiator II is one of the best of the year so I’m more excited for that one, but I will give both an equal chance.

Riffin’ Recap: Not too much comes to mind, Mary and I ran into a couple of Mom-Daughter duos that I recognized both at the luncheon and at bowling. The daughters are members of the radio station so it was nice to interact with some members outside of meetings or events.

Really excited for Thanksgiving Break. A rabbit reunion is long overdue, although I feel like we’ve all done a good job of making the time to chat or chill in person this semester, even the out-of-state guys. Maybe that has more to do with Trivia Tails but I feel like I’m fairly well caught up with everyone. I hear Team Dimo is making some noise about a Turkey Bowl underdog run. Not sure from where but that’s the word on the ground.

Much love to all. See y’all soon.
