Welcome back to The Rabbit Hole! Let’s get… trivial.
Life Update: It’s been a couple of weeks since we last talked. Houghton Lake was a movie, Andrew’s video was fire.
And now we’ve all moved into college! Our Senior year has arrived and I can’t cope with it. These past few weeks I’ve been feeling really nostalgic. I’m not ready to grow up and become an adult. I’ve touched on these thoughts and feelings briefly, and in some cases in-depth on this blog before, but entering my senior year of college and experiencing my last first day of school with no safety net or structure to fall into after graduation has got me extremely anxious about the future.
On Thursday, I went over to G’s for dinner, which was pleasant (never did see her again). On Saturday we had a senior sendoff night out which was a lot of fun. Good seeing the Ann Arbor peeps who hadn’t been around all summer. We found out some juicy tea and riffed a TON. It was a night filled with cameos, catchups, and suh. Can’t think of a better way to spend my final night before moving into college.
Content I’ve Consumed this Week Cave: Due to my recent travels, I had a 10-day no-movie streak, which was honestly needed. I like to have breaks like that from time to time, but I’m back and I’m watching Spider-Man! I’ve seen all of the Spidey movies but don’t have them all logged and rated on Letteboxd so this will remedy that shortcoming.
I also was super behind on all content aside from movies that I normally consume, so catching up on that was fun. YouTube shows, podcasts, etc…
Riffin’ Recap: On our last hoorah night on Saturday, we were rolling with this dude who’s inexplicably named Jim (he’s Asian). He was also with some brown chick Kirkey previously thrashed and they were a lethal combo. Firstly, Jim was completely hammered to the point of walking into two-way traffic just holding his hand up hoping the cars would stop for him. He was drifting into the road while walking on the sidewalk every 12 seconds, and just should not have been in public whatsoever. If that sounds like a nightmare, this chick he was with truly had the worst face imaginable. I’m not just talking fugly, she had the most severe RBF I’ve EVER seen. She had her whole ass eyebrows slanted down the whole night and gave the most piercing side eye imaginable. I was quoted as saying “I’m going to punch her in the face.” That may sound like an overreaction, but the folks who were there will vouch for me. She was almost a night ruiner.
Creative Corner: There is a reason I’ve saved this section for last. I’ve been working on something that I’m now ready to announce! When The Rabbit Spotlights were done, I told you all a couple of weeks ago that I’d have something special in store to fill that gap. And fill that gap I believe I have…
Introducing Trivia Tails!…

Trivia Tails will be a friendly trivia competition that will consist of 10 rounds (10 questions) of general trivia.
Each round will be assigned a specific category of trivia (NFL, NBA, Geography, etc…)
Each round is worth one point except…
The 7th round of each game will be the “Niche Category Round.”
This will be a category of the contestant’s choosing.
Optimally something they have vast knowledge of and that they are confident they could answer a trivia question about.
Choose your category wisely as this category is worth TWO points.
For example: My category would be something like Survivor.
Season 1 will have a total of 8 contestants (all of you) who will each take part in one game. After that, they will be seeded based on performance into an 8 (maybe 6?) contestant playoff bracket to determine the season 1 champion.
I’ve been wanting to start a trivia league for so long, and I finally decided to pull the trigger. I know college just started and all of you are going to be very busy, but these first solo games shouldn’t take longer than 20 minutes to record. Scheduling will be tough, that’ll be the biggest obstacle, but if you guys are willing to work with me, I promise I’ll deliver a fun, exciting, and competitive product. I’ll record each game and upload them to our YouTube. I’m hoping you guys will take this and run with it. If you have any questions about the rules or anything feel free to reach out.
Games will hopefully start recording within the next week or so. I’ll reach out to you guys for availability and whoever can go will go. I know this is a lot of information to take in, but I hope it’s as exciting for you as it is for me. Start thinking about your Niche Category as soon as possible so that I have time to write the questions for them. Get as creative as you’d like with it, I’ll let you know if you need to broaden it at all. Who will be the Season 1 Champion of Trivia Tails? We’ll find out soon enough.
That’s all I got this week. Thanks!
